3 Chic Ways to Wear Black and White Courtesy of Paris Fashion Week’s Front Row   by Laurel Pantin

If I had to pick one standout spring trend that’s definitely carrying over into fall, it would be black and white.Alexander Wang’s spring collection was all black and white, and his debut at Balenciaga was also entirely sans color. Dior also was mainly black and white, as was Proenza Schouler. And this weekend, three of our favorite starlets turned up in the front row in equally chic versions of the trend.

How stunning does Jessica Alba look? We’ve all agreed that everything looks better in black and white, and that applies to menswear dressing too. I love the slim cut of her tuxedo—so sexy!

Nicole Richie test-drove the look in an artsy black-and white dress. If wearing a suit or mixing black-and-white prints freaks you out, a simple dress is an easy way to get the look.

And finally, Olivia Palermo (who is so perfect I can’t look directly at her when I see her in person) showed up to the Dior show this weekend looking flawless in a black-and-white (OK, super-pale pink) striped top and a sweet flippy skirt. The shaggy coat keeps this look fashiony, not to mention *those* Dior heels…jealous!!Which look is your favorite? Will you be favoring stark black and white over bright colors this spring?
